About the Doc
Dr. D. Shane McPherson combines excellence in dentistry with true artistry to achieve beautiful, long-lasting results for your smile. He is committed to providing you with the highest level of care and helping you enjoy a healthy smile for a lifetime. Dr. McPherson is a 1999 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He has been practicing dentistry in Shreveport for 18 years and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Louisiana Dental Association (LDA), and the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association (NWLDA), where he served as a past president. Dr. McPherson also serves as Commander at the Barksdale Air Force Base Reserve Dental Clinic.
Utmost attention to detail before, during, and after treatment, utilizing only the best laboratory support, are his highest goals. “My passion for hands-on dentistry includes creating wax mock-ups for all cases patients. I am the guy dictating aesthetics and function, not a lab technician that has never seen the patient. I work with the patient to ensure we understand what they want and that we can deliver exactly that.”

Dental Technician
Sharon has been with Shane McPherson, DDS for the past 15 years and is Chairside Assistant Certified, Expanded Duty Chairside Certified, and X-ray Certified. She also served for 14 years in the military service.
Oy Rajsombath
Dental Assistant
Oy is a Registered Dental Assistant with X-ray and nitrous certification, and has been with the practice since 2015.
Tonya Allgrun
Treatment Coordinator
Tonya has been with the practice since 2015 and is AA/Allied Heath, and X-ray Certified. She is married with one step child.
Claire Griggs
Dental Hygienist
Claire joined our practice in 1992. She is a graduate of NLU, having received a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene in 1980. In the same year, she became an active member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, and works on state and local levels in the Louisiana Dental Hygienist’s Association and the Shreveport-Bossier Dental Hygienist’s Association.
Susan McQueary
Dental Hygienist
Susan became part of our team in 2010. She has a Bachelor of Science in applied sciences from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). Susan is married to her best friend, Doran, and they have two beautiful girls.
